(9th October 2016 – Doha, Qatar) Cycling is kicking into high gear, with more time trials for The UCI Road World Championships Doha 2016 taking place today.

Today sees the UCI Women Junior Individual Time Trials, and also the Men Under 23 Individual Time Trials. During any given race or time trial taking place at The Pearl-Qatar, there shall be different means of transportation available for free movement to the races.

Water taxis, golf carts and shuttle buses shall be ferrying residents on and off the island during the races when most of the roads will be shut to traffic. The organising committee is recommending fans and residents to use water taxis during the road closure times, for continuous movement towards their destinations.

The Fan Zone will be open to fans and spectators of the event, located at Costa Malaz Beach on The Pearl-Qatar within an air conditioned tent just ahead of the race finish line. With food and beverage booths and other concessions, there will be plenty of activities for the whole family. In addition, the residents of The Pearl-Qatar are invited to The Hub, an exclusive area near Katara serving as a temporary relaxation centre as the race completes.

Monday, 10th October, will be highlighted with the UCI Women Junior Individual Time Trial and Men Under 23 Individual Time Trial.

– 5:30am : Sunrise (Weather Forecast : Sunny and Clear, H:38c, L:25c, winds SW at 10km/h)
– 7:00am : The Hub opens (an exclusive lounge to residents of The Pearl-Qatar)
– 7:30am : Shuttle bus service begins
– 7:30am : Water taxi service begins
– 8:30am : UCI RWC circuit road closes
– 9:00am : The Fan-Zone opens
– 9:30am : UCI Women Junior Individual Time Trial begins
– 10:40am : UCI Women Junior Individual Time Trial ends
– 11:30am : Men Under 23 Individual Time Trial begins
– 3:50pm : Men Under 23 Individual Time Trial ends
– 4:10pm : UCI RWC circuit road re-open
– 5:11pm : Sunset
– 6:00pm : The Fan-Zone closes
– 6:00pm : The Hub closes
– 6:20pm : High-frequency Shuttle bus service ends, and becomes once-hourly afterwards)
– 6:20pm : Water taxi service ends
